1920s/30s Solid Steel 5 Drawer File Cabinet - $25 (South Austin)

This piece is heavy. It probably weighs over 100lbs empty, and it isn't a 'fireproof' cabinet that's filled with concrete either. It has five drawers that roll reasonably well, but could use a shot of lubricant like white lithium or silicone. It doesn't have any locking system, but that does mean you can't accidentally lock yourself out, as well. This piece does appear to have about three or four coats of paint on it. The first/original coat of finish looks to a faux quartersawn oak finish, which is one reason I'd date this to be from the 20s or 30s, as real wood quartersawn oak file cabinets were more common back then.
I'm not sure who the original manufacturer is for this piece, but it's sturdy and has plenty of potential for reuse. The filing cabinet is 25 1/2 inches deep, 12 and 1/2 inches wide, and, 52 and 3/4 inches tall.
