I purchased this beetle a while back with the intention of getting it repainted and the heating system hoses snaked through. The chairs are currently not in the bug (we removed them with the intent of painting the interior. However, I have a bit of a medical issue and it is just not practical for me to work on it, so I am trying to give it to the next person to try it out.
The engine did turn over when I bought it, but it has been idle since then. It does need the heating tubes. Also, the tires have been lost to rubber rot. You will want to bring a flat bed tow truck to pick it up (if you call a tow company, you can request that they bring the flatbed, they will almost certainly have one). Otherwise, I suppose if you happen to have four of the right tires, I suppose it would be acceptable to put those on and drag it. Either way, I wouldn't rely on rolling it out.
The engine is mostly there, it really needs the heat system hoses (I made that mistake once, I don't recommend it). Other than that, the engine skirt is bent. As for the body itself, it has been mostly protected by the paint and a regime of dessicants. I also have all the seals, handles and parts for the door, except for the glass (which it still has), so you will at least have that part covered.
I am kinda disabled, so I'm just asking that only serious inquiries. I'll answer all question as best I can, but please have some intent to purchase.
