Looking to learn about British bikes - $1 (Kirkwood)

Hi, I’m looking to connect with someone who works on or restores classic British motorcycles and might be willing to let me spend some time in the garage or shop learning.
I currently ride a modern Triumph, but I’d really like to develop some mechanical skills working on older, air-cooled, carbureted British twins and singles (Triumphs, Nortons, AJSs, BSAs, etc.)
I’ve been to a couple AHRMA races, and I have a little mechanical know-how from being around small piston aircraft. But I’m still very much a beginner when it comes to motorcycles and would like to learn from someone with some experience.
