Hiring field drivers to photograph and document properties scheduled for foreclosure auction throughout metro Atlanta. We use this information to determine our maximum bids at the monthly foreclosure sale, so the quality of what you bring back directly drives our business decisions.
The work
Foreclosure sales happen the first Tuesday of every month. In the two weeks leading up to each sale, you'll drive routes we build for you using routing software that starts and ends at your home. Routes typically run 15-25 stops depending on the county and how spread out the properties are. Expect roughly 3-5 days of driving per month (possibly more depending on our need).
At each stop, you'll take photos of:
Street number (usually on mailbox)
Front of home
Right and left sides
Rear of home
Backyard
Any additional angles that help us assess condition
After each property, you'll fill out a Google Form from your vehicle (takes ~60 seconds) summarizing what you saw. You'll organize photos into albums titled with the property address before moving to the next stop, then upload each album to the corresponding Google Drive folder when you're back home on reliable WiFi.
Read this part carefully
~85% of these properties are occupied. You will be walking around homes with people inside them. It is extremely common for homeowners to come out angry — yelling, cursing at you, threatening to call the police, telling you to get the hell off their property. When that happens, you apologize, walk to your vehicle, and leave. No arguing, no explaining, no escalating.
If reading that paragraph made you nervous, do not apply. We need people who can stay calm and professional when someone is in their face, and who won't avoid a stop because it looks intimidating. The personality fit matters more than anything else on this job.
Pay (1099 contractor)
$8 per stop
$30 bonus per property where additional documentation opportunities are captured
$0.725 per mile
Typical day works out to $250-$275
You cover your own gas — it's built into the mileage rate.
What a typical day looks like
Start around 7-9 AM, wrap up around 4-6 PM, with a scheduled 1-hour break — 8 working hours. Two real examples of full-day routes:
A spread-out outer metro route: 18 stops, 159 miles → $259 for the day
A tighter, more clustered route: 23 stops, 108 miles → $262 for the day
That's roughly $32/hour before any bonuses. Capture additional documentation at a couple properties and a day runs closer to $290-$320 ($36-$40/hour).
