An established Hardware Store located in Astoria, NY is seeking a full-time Warehouse Associate - Stocking, organizing, and inventory.
Must be knowledgeable with hardware items, paint, plumbing, electrical and janitorial supplies. Experience operating a Forklift is a huge advantage.
Responsibilities:
• Assist pulling orders via pick tickets from inventory on shelves and warehouse
• Box or shrink wrap orders and place on pallets/skids
• Receive and process incoming stock.
• Stock merchandise in warehouse and restock shelves in store.
• Keep and maintain a safe and clean warehouse environment.
• Organize warehouse material and store material as directed
• Make keys and mix paint for customers
Job Requirements:
• Knowledge in hardware supplies, a must.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a High School Diploma
• Good communicator, organizational and time management skills
Physical Demands:
• Ability to lift and move objects that weighs up to 50lbs, regularly. Occasionally lift and move objects that are more than 50lbs.
• Ability to work on your feet for long periods of time. Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel or crouch regularly.
• Ability to navigate stairs while carrying product
