This chair definitely offers both form and function. It was made in America by the Lawrence Crouse company and is extremely well made and sturdy, as well as providing comfortable seating. It has been painted to present a patina of age and texture. There is also hand carving on the uppermost part of the chair’s back. There are two very useful drawers-one under the writing arm ( great for pens, pencils, writing pads,etc.) and another drawer under the seat ( a great place for an IPad, magazines, etc.) The measurements are approximately: Top of chairback to floor-46 3/4”, From writing arm to opposite chair arm-33 1/4”, Seat width-24” and seat depth 17 1/2”. The total front width of the seat (this includes the piece that supports the writing arm) is 30 3/4”. This is a great price for this chair and much less than I originally paid. ( I am selling due to some downsizing.)Cash only. All sales final.
