About Studio Athena
For nine years, Studio Athena designed homes that are grounded, enduring, and deeply personal — spaces that favor restraint and material honesty over trend. We're a small, close-knit team based in Southern Oregon, working on full-service residential and boutique commercial projects with a commitment to sustainability and, when clients are drawn to it, Vastu-informed design. We listen closely, work carefully, and take pride in projects that feel collected rather than styled.
The Role
This position blends design support, procurement, and project coordination into one role built for someone who loves systems as much as they love a well-set table. You'll be the thread connecting our designers, our vendors, and our clients — keeping projects moving, budgets accurate, and details from slipping through the cracks.
DESIGN SUPPORT
Assist with mood boards, material libraries, and presentation binders
Pull and organize samples, finishes, and product options for client meetings
Support space planning and sourcing research for active projects
Help prepare client-facing presentations and design proposals
PROCUREMENT
Generate and track purchase orders across multiple projects
Communicate with vendors and trades on lead times, pricing, and specs
Monitor order status, shipping, and receiving; flag delays early
Reconcile procurement budgets and maintain accurate cost tracking
PROJECT & CLIENT COORDINATION
Maintain project timelines and keep tasks on schedule across the team
Coordinate with contractors, installers, and trades around key milestones
Support scheduling, meeting notes, and day-to-day client communication
Help plan and run install days, walkthroughs, and punch lists
WHAT YOU BRING
Experience in interior design, procurement, or project coordination (design industry experience preferred, not required)
Excellent organization and follow-through — you close loops without being asked twice
Clear, warm communication with clients, vendors, and teammates
Comfort managing multiple projects and shifting priorities at once
Consistent availability 2.5–4 days a week, in-studio in Ashland, with occasional local site visits/installations
Proficiency with standard office (Google Workspace) and design software (Canva, Pinterest, HouzzPro); comfort learning new project management tools
A calm, detail-oriented presence — someone who brings order to a busy studio
