Half Price Geeks is seeking dependable computer repair and IT field technicians for onsite residential and small-business service calls in Ashburn and surrounding Northern Virginia communities.
We especially need coverage for ZIP code 20147.
This is an independent contractor opportunity with assignments offered as customer requests come in. It is not a full-time position, and hours are not guaranteed.
SERVICE AREA

TYPICAL ASSIGNMENTS
• Windows computer troubleshooting and setup
• Mac software troubleshooting and setup, if qualified
• Printer installation and printing/connectivity troubleshooting
• Wi-Fi and basic network troubleshooting

• Data transfers and basic computer upgrades
• Small-business workstation and peripheral support
REQUIREMENTS
• Practical experience diagnosing and resolving computer problems
• Reliable transportation and a working smartphone
• Professional appearance and clear communication
• Patience when helping customers with different technical skill levels
• Ability to work independently and document what you did
• Basic tools appropriate for the assignments you accept
• Dependable arrival times and prompt status updates
Technicians must check in with dispatch upon arrival and departure and submit service notes promptly after each appointment. Half Price Geeks handles customer scheduling and billing.
COMPENSATION
$30–$55 per hour, depending on experience and assignment. The pay rate and scope will be agreed upon before you accept a job.
