These are Arlington, VA-grown Red Maple trees that have been tended to in pots for the past five years. They were selected from the ground at about two-years of age while growing in a yard beneath the parent specimen, located along the Arlington/Falls Church border.
For the past five years they have been moved about the garden, providing incredible Fall foliage, with red, yellow, and orange color.
I had intended to plant them somewhere but ran out of planting space.
These can be tapped for Maple Syrup!
They are very fast-growing and attractive trees. They can be planted along the grass sidewalk strip or be transplanted into bigger pots to be strategically placed in your yard/patio/balcony to add color and possibly some birds to your environment.
