General Job Information:
Instructors teach and lead a variety of gymnastics related skills, exercises, games and activities to encourage both physical and social development. Instructors develop weekly lesson plans, set up and take down equipment.
Our program is generally for youth ages 5 and older who are taught skill progressions on all apparatus, including uneven bars, vault, and beam along with basic tumbling skills. This is a non-competitive program.
Applicant Qualifications:
We are looking for enthusiastic, reliable candidates who have experience working with youth as well as experience with gymnastics as a coach or participant. Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age. CPR and Basic First Aid certification along with Tuberculosis clearance must be received prior to working with gymnasts. The City can provide support with securing these requirements upon employment.
Pay Rate: $17.327 - $19.125 per hour depending upon experience. Candidates are typically hired at the first two steps of the pay scale with annual increases.
Program Hours and Shifts:
This is a part time position and the schedule can vary with your availability. Classes take place in the afterschool and evening hours with occasional weekends. Built in session breaks during college academic breaks
