Mendini by Cecilio Trombone.
MTB-N model.
Silver color.
Missing water key and slide lock.
With mouthpiece and nice case. Zippers all work, looks good.
Case has shoulder straps. In front of it in a picture.
Good:
Plays fine. Shiny. No corrosion spots. If there are any spots of the finish wearing off, I don't notice it other than some finish wear on the Mendini emblem by the tuning slide. Tuning slide is good.
Main slide is smooth, has minor resistance in the first six inches. Not bad, just saying it doesn't freefall by gravity from that area. Shake it a little and it will gravity fall from there. See video below.
Bad:
Missing the slide lock raised "line" on the slide. The locking ring is there that turns, and it has a "nub" on the inside, not sure if an arm is supposed to be attached to that nub or not, but the nub is there. The main thing is the raised part on the slide that the nub/(arm?) catches to lock is not there. I wonder if putting a line of hot glue or something there would be a quick and good enough fix.
Missing water key (spit valve). The two tabs are there to put one on. I don't have a spare on hand, so listing it as-is. I just wrapped some tape around the hole. Works fine.
The bell has an inch and a half or so crumply dent. It faces the slide (for a right-hander), so it's not particularly noticeable when the trombone is put together.
The body has two other small dents, both near each other.
Has light scratches in various spots. And the camera highlights all the fingerprints.
$75 firm.
Can deliver to Neenah or so depending on the day.
Here's a one-minute close-up video of it. At the end, I shake the slide a bit to show how it falls with gravity. If I had done that holding it the other way, it would have fallen faster since the other end is heavier. Just trying to show it's smooth even if not super zero resistance smooth.
