Fully built up city commuter bike that I rebuilt, repainted and enhanced with the addition of a reliable and powerful mid-drive Bafang BBS02 motor kit.
Most of the time it was still ridden with the battery uninstalled like a regular bike with my kids. It was previously set up with a cassette and derailleur and a rigid fork. But the fork was recently changed to a heavy duty suspension fork as well as fitting a new front wheel and headset, and the rear cassette wheel was swapped out for an internally geared hub setup. It operates perfectly and vastly improved the overall functionality of the setup.
The Bafang motor is pretty powerful at 750w 48v, and I've had the bike reach 45 km/h on just throttle. Typically I can achieve around 40-60 miles on a single charge. The battery is from the reliable brand Unit Pack Power and is 14.4 amp hours 48v.
Full custom build parts list:
-Bafang BBS02 750w
-Large size Specialized Hardrock aluminum frame
-Generic wide, heavy padded seat, but I have other styles if wanted to change
-Kawasaki KLR650 factory handlebars
-GT BMX front load stem
-180mm cable actuated hydraulic disc brakes
-SR Suntour XCM32 Boost fork
-Marin Rift Zone 27.5" double wall front wheel
-Shimano Alfine 8 26" double wall rear wheel build
-Varstrom offset sprocket
-Brand new tubes and e-bike rated tires
$800 is an outstanding deal for this build, but I've built a new road e-bike and need this one gone. Would accept camera equipment or musical gear as trade value
