Vision Alaska is seeking dependable people to join our Master Control team in Anchorage.
As a Master Control Operator, you will help keep ABC, CW, and FOX programming on the air across Alaska. This is an entry-level opportunity to learn television broadcast operations, automation, media preparation, quality control, and live programming support.
Responsibilities include:
• Monitor Master Control automation systems, file servers, and on-air signals.
• Monitor audio, video, and closed captioning for broadcast quality.
• Record and acquire syndicated and network programming.
• Prepare programs for air, including segmenting media to required formats.
• Receive and monitor satellite and other program feeds.
• Support live and recorded newscasts and special programming.
• Identify and report technical or programming problems.
• Maintain accurate logs and follow established broadcast procedures.
We are looking for someone who:
• Is dependable and detail-oriented.
• Can work independently and remain focused for extended periods.
• Can multitask and handle changing priorities.
• Is comfortable working with computers and learning technical systems.
• Works well as part of a team.
• Is available for nights, weekends, holidays, overnights, and overtime as needed.
Requirements:
• Must live and work in Anchorage.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Fluent in English.
No previous television experience is required. Training will be provided.
