Bartender Manager - South Restaurant + Coffeehouse

Summary/Objective
The Bar Manager is responsible for ensuring that the bar staff perform their stated duties and work as a team with the rest of the FOH and BOH staff. The Bar Manager is also responsible for keeping up the morale and positiveness of the bar team. They are to ensure guest satisfaction and delight by providing an exceptional experience that makes the guest want to return.
Operations
Performs weekly inventory of all bar products and ensures that it's entered into our inventory tracking software, also ensuring that all invoices are accurate and logged on time
Controls all bar ordering and inventory. Ensures that ordering stays within budget
Maintains communication with all management, through staff journals, emails, meetings, and face to face
Monitors daily and weekly side work duties for all bar staff for opening and closing shifts, and ensures that all duties are completed properly
Ensures that all Policies and Procedures are followed; especially those related to the service and sale of alcohol. This includes coaching, training, and appropriate discipline
Ensures all employee files are up to date, including all reviews and write-ups
Maintains organized bar schematics to ensure smooth operations and visually appealing bar
Ensures that all recipes and items are accurately logged and up to date
Does all hiring, scheduling, training, reviews, and discipline for all bartenders
Maintains inventory of all glassware and orders when needed
Is responsible for the bar voids/comps template
Works with bar staff to develop new drinks, drink specials, wine list revisions, and beer rotations
Maintains control of bar labor cost, ensuring that overtime is kept to a minimum
Completes bar schedules on time, accommodating vacation and time-off requests whenever possible
Can have informed discussions about wines, beers, and spirits with guests and staff
Ability to work in fast paced restaurant environment.
Weekend availability required.
Other Qualifications
Must have 2 years bartending experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must be able to communicate, write, and understand English
Must be able to work, standing and walking, in a fast-paced environment for up to 9 hours
Must have a current Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card
Must be able to communicate, write, and understand English
Must have strong cash handling skills and the ability to operate a POS system
Must have a current TIPS/TAP card and a current Municipality of Anchorage food worker card
Must have basic knowledge of Google Drive and internet navigation
Must be available for late nights, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays
Physical Requirements
The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time and may occasionally be required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Frequently lifts up to 40 pounds. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
