2013 VW Jetta (needs transmission work) - $1,700

Low mileage, well cared for, and generally in really good condition - with one major exception: a faulty transmission. It kicks hard when downshifting into second gear. Over the past few weeks since this problem began, I've reached the limit of what any shop in town can do to fix it. If you want to keep driving this car, you'll need to replace the transmission. (A new one is prohibitively expensive. A used one would be within the range of what the car is worth.) Alternately, since everything else is in good shape, maybe you've already got a Jetta and you want to use this car for parts.
A few weeks ago, I would have listed this car at $7k. In its current sad state, I'm asking $1700. Clean title, current tags, etc. Happy to answer questions.
