Pivio Health, a growing lifestyle-medicine software company, is looking for a hands-on IT lead to build and run our office IT from the ground up and guide us through SOC 2 compliance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Set up our office network: routing, Wi-Fi, VLANs, firewall
- Buy, configure, and deploy laptops and equipment for our U.S. team
- Write and put in place HIPAA-aligned IT policies (device management, VPN, data handling)
- Coordinate office setup: internet, phones/reception, physical security, A/V
- Manage devices from start to finish: provisioning, patching, access control, retirement
- Provide day-to-day helpdesk support as the team grows from 5 to 15+
- Manage IT vendors and service providers
- Lead our SOC 2 readiness effort, with ISO 27001 / GDPR to follow
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 5+ years in IT support, systems administration, or infrastructure
- Hands-on with routers, managed switches, Wi-Fi access points, and firewalls
- Working knowledge of HIPAA physical and technical safeguards
- Experience with MDM tools (Jamf, Intune, or similar) on Mac and Windows
- Comfortable buying hardware and managing vendors
NICE TO HAVE
- SOC 2 Type II audit prep experience
- VPN, zero-trust, or cloud identity (Azure AD / Okta)
- Has built IT from scratch in a healthcare or HIPAA environment
DETAILS
- Part-time, 1099 contractor
- Reports to the President / General Manager
- Location: Anacortes, WA (on-site as needed)
- Pay: [$75/hr, DOE]
