This amazing, tribal, oriental rug, has an impressive look in a smaller size. It is known as a SERAPI design style. This gorgeous oriental rug was hand-knotted in Turkey, in the 1940's, so it is about 80 years old. It was hand knotted with 120 (KPSI) knots per square inch, making this a very good quality rug. This rug features beautifully rich design detail you won't find in newer, less labor intensive pieces. It has a rich vibrant colored pallet of: crimson red, tobacco brown, and dark blue. The rug features two larger dark blue hexagons in the center of the field, with a prominent dark blue keystone in each of the four corners of the rug's field. It is a beautiful and easy to use tribal design. The exact size is 6.6x3.7, (So it's almost 7x4). It is in excellent condition with no wear spots, and no stains and a full pile. (And we also used this as a companion to a similar sized piece with a similar color pallet and design style.) See my ads for the SERAPI companion at 6.7x3.3.

This rug is one that could be used in many style settings, including traditional, contemporary, transitional, or even modern (as the art piece that is a shot of color). This rug was used to stage a very large city lakes home that has now sold. It is a very special piece that will enhance your home. At retail this rug would sell for about $1200-$1500.
