EXPERIENCED DRYWALL CONTRACTOR / FINISHER WANTED – AMARILLO AREA
We are looking for an experienced, reliable drywall contractor/finisher to work with our painting company on residential and commercial projects throughout Amarillo, Canyon, and surrounding areas.
We are looking for someone who can handle the complete drywall process, not just hanging sheetrock.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
You should have several years of hands-on experience with:
Drywall installation / hanging
Drywall repairs and patches
Taping and bedding
Skim coating
Corner bead
Floating and finishing joints
Matching existing textures
Knockdown texture
Orange peel texture
Spray texture
Texture repairs/blending
Sanding and surface preparation
Masking/protecting floors, cabinets, trim, etc.
Keeping the work area clean
Final cleanup after completing the work
Working around occupied homes and customers
Identifying and correcting drywall/finish problems before painting
Ability to spray texture is a major plus.
We are particularly interested in someone who can take a drywall repair or project from bare/unfinished drywall → properly finished → textured → cleaned up and ready for paint with minimal supervision.

Can communicate professionally with customers and our company
Can accurately estimate how long a drywall job will take
Takes pride in producing a clean finished product
This is NOT a position for someone who is just learning drywall.
We are looking for an experienced professional who can look at a damaged wall or unfinished drywall and know exactly how to repair, finish, texture, and prepare it for paint.
BACKGROUND CHECK
All applicants must be willing to pass a standard background check before beginning work.
We are specifically looking for applicants with no prior violent-crime or theft convictions.
You must be comfortable providing the information necessary for a legitimate employment/subcontractor background check.
WORK / PAY
Work is primarily in the Amarillo/Canyon area, with occasional surrounding-area projects.
We are open to discussing production-based, hourly, or project-based compensation depending on experience and the type of work.
Experienced contractors who can independently complete high-quality drywall work will be compensated accordingly.
This is an opportunity to develop an ongoing working relationship with a painting company rather than a one-time job.
