Up for sale is my Bambu Lab A1 Mini combo (with AMS lite multi filament unit). The printer is fairly "low mileage", with only about 300 hours of print time on the clock. I am including all of the quality of life upgrades that I spent quite some time building, printing, and fiddling with. This includes:
- A custom enclosure* made from a pair of IKEA lack tables (I can include the second set of legs for a free-standing configuration) and acrylic plexiglass
- A four-channel passthrough for the AMS tubing
- A single-channel passthrough for an external spool
- A modified 5-channel AMS hub to eliminate the need to swap out tubes when using an external spool
- LED enclosure lighting with a smoke detector
- An enclosure for the AMS Lite with two baskets for rechargeable desiccant beads and two hygrometers
- "poop basket" and wire management chains
- 9" tall AMS Lite stand with tool bins - this minimizes the amount of Bowden tube needed to pass through the enclosure and still load/unload reliably and without failure.
- Two biqu cryogrip smooth build plates (one of which is brand new).
With this combo assembled by careful trial and error, I've found that the printer will handle just about any PLA or PETG print I throw at it. I'm a bit of a tinkerer who takes care of his equipment, so I rather enjoy taking a platform like the A1 mini and upgrading it to higher-tier machine quality. Having hit a ceiling, I'm ready to move on to one of Bambu's professional grade machines and play around with engineering materials. Otherwise this machine would be my daily driver indefinitely. This machine has been the most turnkey that I've ever owned, and if you're looking for an A1 or A1 mini, you probably already know how great this is for first-timers who want something that will just print without much fuss.
I'll restore the machine to factory defaults before sale. Note that the pictured Filament Dryer is not included, but that's negotiable.
I'm also willing the sell the AMS Lite separately.
* You may read much about the A1 not being appropriate for an enclosure, but this information does not apply to the A1 mini, which is actively cooled (unlike its bigger brother, the A1, being passively cooled). I've found the enclosure to be really helpful in preventing long PETG prints from warping.
