The Ultimate Y2K Aesthetic Icon
The TEAC MP-330—the North American sibling to Freecom’s famous Beatman II—was designed as the "World's Smallest CD Player - fits in your pocket" alternative to the bulky 12cm Sony Discman. Released in 2001, this unit is a celebrated tech icon, highly sought after for its iconic "Translucent Ice Blue" shell and its dedicated precision engineering for the 8cm Mini CD format.
Pocket-Sized Audio Powerhouse
Compatible with 8cm Mini CD-R and CD-RW media, this high-density player allows you to carry hours of audio in a physical footprint barely larger than the disc itself:
- 128 kbps (Near-CD Quality): Fits 3.5 hours (210 mins) — Holds 3 standard CDs onto just 1 Mini Disc!
- 96 kbps (FM Radio Quality): Fits 5 hours of continuous audio.
- 64 kbps (Audiobook Quality): Fits up to 7 hours on a single disc.
Performance Features & Connectivity
The MP-330 offers exceptional versatility—use the dedicated 3.5mm Line Out to integrate with an amplifier or cassette deck, or enjoy high-fidelity personal listening:
- Digital Sound: Built-in EQ settings and dedicated Bass Boost.
- Anti-Skip Protection: 40-second buffer for standard CD-audio and 8-second buffer for MP3s.
- Full Control Interface: Clear LCD display showing track number, playback time, and battery level.
- Playback Modes: Program, Repeat, Intro-Scan, and tactile rotary volume control.
- Battery Efficiency: Up to 12 hours of playback on 2x AA alkaline batteries.
