Antique Sheraton Period (1790-1820) Maple Tall Post Rope Bed. Purchased from Pook & Pook (https://pookandpook.com/), auction on 12/5/2008, Lot Number 1420). The custom made Marshall spring (pocketed coil spring) mattress is 68-1/2" L x 45" W was acquired from http://www.antiquemattress.com/, order date: 3/25/2009. Note that the bed did not come with finials or a foot board, so I made them. The short height mattress foundation requires two sets of three to four per side of painter's sticks as shown in a photo to keep the foundation centered, and are supplied. Requires a Restorers Classic Bed Bold Wrench Socket (https://www.vandykes.com/sb-bed-bolt-wrench-socket-12-916-58-sq-hd/p/204194/), a 3/8" socket extension, and a crescent wrench for assembly and disassembly, as shown in two photos. Note that these tools are not supplied with the bed, but may be acquired separately from another vendor. Note that this is a short bed, between a twin and full size in width. I paid around $ 1676 in total for acquisition, shipping, and taxes. Must pay in cash, Paypal, or Venmo on pick-up, no proxies accepted.
