The 4-million milestone is legitimate
The Space Jam soundtrack was an enormous commercial success. Its RIAA history shows:
The date June 10, 1997 was when this album was certified - 4× Platinum
PROVENANCE:
Lou Sicurezza wasn't an artist or peripheral employee. He was a longtime Atlantic Records promotion executive.
He joined Atlantic in 1978 and rose through regional promotion, field operations and eventually national promotion.
Contemporary music-industry publications identify him as Atlantic's VP/National Promotion.
His career was substantial enough that an obituary in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution describes his
career in sales and promotion with Decca, Atlantic, ABC and Atlantic again.
The rear Ill-Eagle Enterprises label-
Ill-Eagle was one of the companies that produced/framed genuine music-industry awards.
Auction descriptions of other original RIAA awards specifically identify Ill-Eagle as the manufacturer and regard its
presence on the original backing as evidence of the award's original construction.
This piece has:
