For sale today: a set of lightweight touring cases. These cases carried my drums all over the world on numerous tours without a single scratch on any of my equipment. Don’t let the rough exterior fool you. They were purpose-built to take a beating while fully protecting the valuable drums and hardware inside. I hand-built them out of necessity to meet strict commercial airline weight limits (approximately 50 lbs. per case). Despite their well-worn appearance, they still have plenty of life left. Each case weighs around 20 lbs., making them incredibly lightweight and sturdy compared to traditional flight cases, which typically weigh three to four times as much.
I plan to keep this listing active for the next few months. If there is no interest, I will disassemble the cases and recycle the materials.
Serious inquiries are welcome. I can provide exact dimensions and weights for each case, and I’m happy to take additional photos upon request.
Scammers: I will gladly send you on a wild goose chase unlike any you’ve experienced before. I am merciless. I’ll quote you an absurd price like $8,000 for my “item,” waste your time and money with a fake check sent via UPS, then play dumb and make you explain how to send a MoneyGram ten different ways. After several failed attempts, I’ll pivot to Western Union and give you more fake information. The entire time I’ll be sharing screenshots of your emails, texts, and bogus checks on Facebook so we can all laugh at your expense. When I’m finished, I’ll toss the check and UPS envelope onto a pile I use to teach my computer students how transparent these scams are. If you still want to play, feel free to text me asking about “the condition of the item.” I’ll happily reply that “the item” is in mint condition. Go ahead—make my day.
