I need help getting the heat working again through the Nest thermostat at my home.
The house has two completely separate systems sharing one thermostat: an evaporative (swamp) cooler and a heater. Each has its own power and its own 24V transformer, so this is a dual-transformer setup.
Please note that it worked 100% for several months, but a control board on the AC broke and a standard HVAC company couldn't fix it.
We need someone to come and Check whether the heater was disabled at the unit itself (switch, disconnect, or wires pulled off the board), separate from the thermostat wiring.
- Afterward, confirm the Nest's wiring/equipment screen looks right and test both a heat call and a cool call.
Additionally, we have a separate heater In the rear of the house that needs testing to ensure it will work for the season.
