2 channels: Matchless EF86 (right), BC Audio #8 (left).
-each channel with its own proper phase inverter.
-switchable bright caps via mini toggle for each channel.
-pair of 5881’s currently installed but it’ll run a pair of (short bottle) 6L6’s for a bit more wattage.
-switchable cathode bias or fixed bias via toggle on the back panel.
-external bias test points and bias pot on back panel.
-very compact at only 15” wide.
-wired true PTP with terminal strips. Most of the leads are insulated.
-Classic Tone 50w transformers
-4/8/16 ohm outputs.
-switchable voltage for US/UK
The amp is wired up with Orange Drop caps instead of Mallory’s to give the top end a bit more articulation. Sounds great! The capacitors are polarized in the proper orientation for the lowest possible noise floor. Most resistors are Vishay/Dale CMF metal film for lowest noise floor. The amp is ultra quiet.
When switching channels the amp must be turned off since the phase inverters switch over as well. This amp packs a big punch for such a small footprint. $875 cash or Venmo.
