TRAVEL FOR PROFESSIONALS. EXECUTIVES, BUSINESS PEOPLE & OTHER FOLKS (I'm based in Albany, NY, and can drive anywhere)

IN-STATE, INTERSTATE, REGIONALLY,
LONG-DISTANCE OR CROSS-COUNTRY
Depending on the timing of your travel, proximity of destination to an
airport, and other factors, ground travel can actually be more efficient
in terms of travel time, costs, peace of mind, etc.
I can provide you a time-efficient and cost-effective way to get to and
from distant locations where you need to go (for business or personal
reasons). It is a door-to-door and back, round-trip service.
If by chance you have a fear of flying, I don’t judge. Or perhaps you need to
travel to a destination that isn’t close to any major airport, or to any train or bus
terminal or station. Or there are just too many transfers and connections to make.
Even those of you who are avid airline flyers should read through this post and
see that I can save you time, money and a lot of aggravation, driving you directly
to (and from) any location within several hundred or more miles.
States covered include, but are not limited to New York, Vermont, New Hampshire,
Maine, Massachusetts. Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio,
West Virginia, Virginia, and Maryland, as well as (non-state) Washington, DC. I can
do longer trips, to more distant states, even if they might require (for your safety and
mine) an overnight hotel/motel stay.
THE NIGHTMARISH DISADVANTAGES OF AIRLINE TRAVEL (NOT JUST COSTS)
Let’s face it, even if the past TSA airport delays (not as bad at Albany as elsewhere) don't
re-occur in the future (really, no more government shutdowns?), and airports remain at
"normal" operational status, there will still be all the extra actual travel time, getting to and
into the airport, through the crowds, and through the check-in lines.
You can’t be like Robert Stack as Captain Rex Kramer in the 1980 classic “Airplane” movie
and deck the Hare Krishnas or other bothersome bozos. Wish you could?
Even if you can (with the TSA pre-clearance pass) get around the long security checkpoint
line, you still have to wait around (surrounded by the crying babies, farting fat-asses, idiots
arguing on their cell phones, playing loud music without ear buds, or whatever) in the
pre-boarding area,
Once you board (timing all depends on your seat assignment), work your way to your seat,
and even settle into it, you're still dealing with the jerks encountered in the pre-boarding area.
Even in first class, you could be dealing with annoying individuals. There's nothing like the
classless blowhard totally self-impressed having that one-time ever first-class status and
letting everyone know how important he/she/they/it is.
Meanwhile, how can you concentrate and get work done, even in the most comfortable
seat? Do you want someone eyeing your confidential documents? How do you relax at
all, let alone get some sleep?
(You certainly can get work done, relax, or even sleep, in the back seat of your vehicle,
with me driving, and being as quiet as you wish).
Once you land at the distant airport, there’s all the added time deplaning, getting through that
airport, finding your driver, getting a cab, or getting your rental car. Then there's the trip to
the site of your meeting or conference (possibly distant from the airport). Your driver can get
you to the site entrance, but if you have a rental car, you'll have to find parking, and possibly
get soaked walking from the lot to the building.
Then you have to worry about the meeting or conference taking longer than expected, with the
return flight time fast approaching, and you have to hustle back to the (possibly distant) airport.
Now you have to endure the previous aggravation, only in reverse order.
(OR: you can have me waiting for you just outside the exit of the meeting / conference site,
ready to get on the road - perhaps stopping at some point for a meal much better than airline
food - and get you back home safe and sound and in a timely fashion).
When you consider all the aforementioned factors, your actual travel time, from your home
or office, can be a serious multiple of the purported flight time shown on the airline's website
(e.g., a supposedly one hour flight can actually involve four or more hours time in transit, AND
the return trip can also take that much time, and perhaps more). That's even assuming no flight
delays, whatever the cause (by the way, when weather grounds the airlines, I'm a very safe
driver to get through it all, to and from your meeting or conference).
In direct contrast to all that, if I’m driving you, you can relax and sleep, or make calls (in total
confidence) and otherwise get work done, prep for meetings, etc., in the comfort and work
space of your back seat.
I can even drive overnight to get you to an early morning meeting, etc., wait for you, and drive
you back to your home or office.
If you’re a lawyer, attorney, business executive, businessperson in general, or anyone else who
has to take along a lot of documents, sales/promo materials, etc., it’s much easier to do so in a
vehicle than an airplane (or even train or bus). In fact, the best way to do so is to have every-
thing in your vehicle, and have me drive your vehicle to and from that distant location.
THE REASONS WE'D TRAVEL IN YOUR VEHICLE AND NOT MINE
One reason why we’d use your vehicle is that my new 2026 Nissan Rogue is leased, with a
miles limit that I'd rather not use up driving people around. Having only recently moved back
to my hometown Albany area, I don't yet have the required N.Y.S. livery license, nor the
enhanced insurance coverage, to use my vehicle in "For Hire" situations. Your own vehicle
insurance would fully cover us in the highly unlikely event of a problem on the road.
It is also beneficial for your vehicle to get an occasional long distance highway speed workout
once in a while to burn off carbons and gunk that accumulate in car engines when vehicles are
operated mostly in slower, stop & go city traffic.
If you are still hesitant to have me drive you in your car, I suppose I could rent one for the day
(possibly a minimum 2-day rental depending on turnaround time). I'd be willing to do so for the
right customer and a long enough driving job to warrant the added costs (although that would
factor into my pricing). Alternatively, you could rent a vehicle directly, with me listed as an
authorized driver.
Rest assured that a) I have a perfect driving record over the course of over 50 years and well
over a million miles (cross-country and even coast-to-coast), b) can provide you references
right away, and c) will show you my Fed ID NY driver’s license at time of pickup (or in face-
to-face meeting in advance of your travel date). I'd provide that license now, but I've been
victimized a few times with identity theft involving my license, registration and title, so for
the time being, certain ID info will be redacted.
So contact me through the Craigslist 2-way, and let me know the following:

__ your direct e-mail address (improves communication, and as a precaution in case
there's ever a problem with the 2-way reply system, or this ad expires)

__ the date(s) and time(s) you will need my services
__ the locations to which you need to go (towns and zip codes fine)
__ your vehicle info (year, make, model, condition. etc.) OR
