For sale is a 2.78 wide ratio gear set just pulled today from a functional 1965 Mustang toploader 4 speed transmission. This transmission was all original down to the gaskets. I decided to part it out instead of trying to offer it together because of the smaller 25 spline output shaft. You get the 289 V8 input shaft, cluster gear, reverse idler , spur gear, 1st, 2nd , 3rd gears, synchronizer assemblies and both shafts for the cluster and reverse gears. Everything as removed from the same unit. The 2nd and 3rd gear synchro teeth show wear. Look at pictures, you get everything for $300 as pictured.
