There were about 53,000 1957 Oldsmobile 88 (Golden Rocket 88) base four-door sedans made. It featured a legendary Rocket V8 engine, a standard two-barrel carburetor producing 265 horsepower, distinctive rear styling with plain tail light panels, and a spacious full-size body style weighing over 4,000 pounds.
It is estimated less than1500 have survived.
Sold as-is and non-running. Bring a trailer.

Last driven about 12 yrs ago. Use to be a daily driver for a while.
The good:
Original Rocket V8 engine, with standard two-barrel carburetor.
I have all the exterior trim in the car and many parts for it that are hard to find in boxes inside car or in trunk. Interior is original and in poor condition.
Body and frame are solid. It is in etched primer.
Original Brakes are vacuum assist, and may need to be converted for safety.
The rear side windows are rare, hard to source and they are intact.
What it needs:
Will need a new gas tank. Has a mechanical fuel pump that will need rebuilt.
A new home. Use it as a parts car or a restoration project
