IGS Academy is looking for part-time escort and support staff for the YGS/IGS After-School program. If you enjoy working with children, we welcome your application. No previous experience is required.
DUTIES
- Accompany elementary school children from their school to the after-school classroom; the role mainly involves accompanying children.
- Help with simple communications, records and other administrative tasks.
- Work with the team to help children feel safe and enjoy their time with us. Support is available for staff new to this work.
SCHEDULE
Thursdays and Fridays, 4:00-4:30 p.m., two days per week. There is no work on other days and no overtime. The advertised scheduled working time is 30 minutes per day; each paid session is described as 30-40 minutes. Working within dependent-income limits or alongside another job can be discussed.
PAY
JPY 800 per session (30-40 minutes), with one session paid per working day. The JPY 800 daily pay shown in the original listing refers to one session; it is not an hourly rate. Transportation expenses are covered subject to company rules.
LOCATION
Around YGS Ikegami Station-front School in Ikegami, Ota-ku, Tokyo, within walking distance of Ikegami Station on the Tokyu Ikegami Line.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Someone who likes children and can interact with them in a cheerful, energetic way.
- Beginners are welcome; experience raising children can be useful.
- Applicants who can work regularly on Thursdays and Fridays, 4:00-4:30 p.m., are welcome.
- An interest in English is welcome. English proficiency and teaching qualifications are not required.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
IGS Academy combines English and sports to develop children's communication, thinking and willingness to take on challenges. The YGS/IGS After-School program offers practical English and physical activities so children can learn and grow while enjoying their time after school.
