The Shakespeare Mantis is an entry-level, budget-friendly series of fishing rods designed primarily for freshwater fishing.
• Design & Action: It features a fiberglass/graphite composite blank construction with lightweight foam or EVA grips. The model pictured is a baitcasting rod, easily identifiable by the distinct trigger grip on the handle layout designed to sit comfortably underneath your fingers when paired with a baitcasting reel.
• Performance: It typically features a medium action rating suited for catching everyday species like bass and panfish. While it does not offer the high-end sensitivity or premium components of top-tier graphite rods, it is known for being highly durable and straightforward for casual anglers. Cash only.
