Friday night, about 10:30-10:45
You got on the bus somewhere around Pine St. I was reading a book, but I glanced up and noticed you and kind of smiled. I kept reading, but your SMELL, your lovely, wonderful, pheromone-laden scent kept distracting me. I wanted to say something, but I figured that you're obviously really cool and cool hippy girls almost always have cool hippy guys, and also, I just couldn't think of a way to begin a conversation with "I'm really intrigued by your scent" and not have it end with you thinking I was a freak. I kept reading, but you got off at Market when I did and followed me down into the underground. I heard my N train coming and I ran ahead and jumped on it and just as it was pulling away you came down the stairs and looked my way and saw me and smiled the most beautiful smile I think I've ever seen. I got off at Church and Duboce, and there was a J behind us and I looked inside to see if you were there. I was going to walk up and see if you got off and just say SOMETHING and hope I didn't make a fool of myself. I didn't see you on it so I headed home but I can't stop thinking about that smile and the way you smelled.
I know it's a long shot, but if you read this PLEASE drop me a line and give me a chance to meet you. Even if I never hear from you, that smile absolutely made my day, and was just what I needed. Thank you very much.
