No, they shouldn't be eliminated. Because one day I'll be like them.
So.. a couple things are established, right: guys are more visual. We want you to look good. We want our friends, after meeting you, to go "damn dude.. she was hot". We want to fantasize about being nasty with you. Your size and beauty are all key elements of our visualizations. If you don't look good, it's more difficult for us to muster the enthusiasm.
You understand that, right? You're always wanting to show us off to your girlfriends, including what a successful guy we are, how funny we are, and secretly you know you've got a catch and you sure as hell want your friends to know it too. It's kind of a competition. So many of you expect us to be several things: good-looking, fit, successful, kind (but not *too* kind.. gotta have an edge). Many of us expect you to be: hot. That's the extent of our expectation. We're simple creatures. If we've ever dated a bitch/princess/high-maintenance chick then we also hope that you're laid-back (though we might let it go depending on how hot you are). If we've ever dated a complete idiot and we ourselves are intelligent we also hope you're not embarrassingly stupid (though we might let it go depending on how hot you are). Hot is the female currency - it makes up for everything for most of us. You can tell this because we say things like:
"Yeah, she's a bitch, but damn, she's so hot.."
and
"Yeah, she's stupid, but damn, she's so hot.."
and
"Yeah, she's married, but damn, she's so hot.."
and
"Yeah, she's jailbait, but damn, she's so hot.."
You get the picture.
Now, for the record, I'm nothing like all these guys I'm describing and completely disagree with the blatant objectification of women. Any sweet girl that wants to write me, a caring, understanding, sensitive guy... please include a pic...
