The tall scene here in Boston is not like it is in the mid-west (Chicago) or west (Colorado), but none the less, it is still vibrant. The usual hang-outs for tall single people in Boston are open to everyone. For brunch on the weekends, I go to THE BEANSTALK. For drinks after work, try out STRETCH (popular with the tall-thin crowd), or for great mixed drinks, go to HEADROOM (the favorite of the Celtics and all visiting NBA layers). On Thursdays, anybody 5'10" and over pays no cover at LANX, but the rest of the time, it's usually a tall-muscle-bound scene. In Providence, everyone goes to THE GIRAFFE PATIO, in the back of SAFARI. Over in Worcester, THE ATMOSPHERE is the spot for dancing (Salsa on Tuesday), and in Portland, Maine, the best beer is in THE CRANE BREWERY (ask for "a tall one"... the nickname for their house brew).
