I have a simple message to all my brothers-in-dating who are reading the postings on CL and who think they are about them and
A) how they snubbed a girl after she sent you her picture
B) how lousy of a date you were
C) how after that night out at The Rack she caught you staring at that slut of a waitress only to have you respond with "What are you talking about? I was looking for a name tag so I could order you another drink."
My simple message is this: it's not about you, it's about me.
I'm the one who corresponded 4 or 5 times with that girl from Framingham whom I told "I didn't think it was possible to like someone this much and not ever having met them", only to have suddenly stopped returning her emails after she sent me an attachment that included her picture. And when I did reply, it was only ask about her friend in the picture next to her to see if she was single. So, if you're wondering if it was HER posting about YOU, don't worry it wasn't.
I'm also the guy who sent out pictures of his genitalia to all the girls looking for "tall, dark, and handsome with a nice personality, a job, and who isn't a perv". I was the one being a perv. Not you. You were simply displaying your talent in expressing your body in an artistic manner. Me. Not you.
And the girl ranting about the guy who chased her down the freeway blowing kisses in her rearview mirror. Yup, once again me, not you. She just found you playful and hoped that you enjoyed a good game of 'keep up' before she pulled over to the side of the road for a good sexual romp that you could have written into Penthouse forums about (she was very disappointed when you didn't continue to follow as she was JUST about to pull over).
So guys, if you think your driving the ladies on the list nuts when she asks for a 25-30 year old and your 48, or how when she rants about the guy who didn't call after the night of steamy passionate sex, or about how your name is Frank C. from Cambridge, don't worry, it's not about you, it's about me. So continue doing what you're doing. You're not the one bothering her, it's me.
