I am so sorry that my ex-boyfriend is holding you hostage. I have tried to get you back, you need to know that.
To my Coldplay CD, he had burned a copy of you...that must have hurt and for that I am sorry. To my Elvis CD, I lent you to him thinking he was as cool as Elvis. Alas that was not the case. You poor CDs are in a CD rack full of 80s music and bad taste. To my Meet Me At Mel's shirt, you are the only t-shirt I had that isn't stained or has holes in it. Does he wear you? Are you stuffed in his closet? If he wears you to the gym, I am fearful that he has stretched you out or worse, made you pitted and smelly.
For reasons that you will never understand, I cannot call him to get you back. I did send him a package - an idiot proof package - all he had to do was stuff you guys in an envelope, seal it and pop it in a mailbox. It's been three weeks, still waiting.
It has been over 2 months since I saw you last, but yet I cannot get over you. It is you I miss, not him. Does he laugh when he sees you? Does he cry? Show any remorse? A book I read said that men like him keep things like you hoping to use it in the future to get back into the rightful owners heart. Apparently, you are his last tie to me. Yes, you are pawns.
To my CDs, I wish to play you again. To my t-shirt, I wish to sleep in you again.
I have done all I can do to get you back without knocking on his door - I know where he lives, but I cannot revert to guerilla tactics as it only reflects on me and I cannot and will not be a psycho ex-girlfriend. You know how he is - I cannot waste my time. I must be the bigger person. I must let this go. I am sorry. Please forgive.
