The color is dark gray/light black ~it kind of depends on the light. You can see the slightly lighter contrast between the fabric top and the black legs. It originally cost approximately $65 w/tax. It’s one solid piece, made for attaching to a freestanding bedframe. It has multiple options for height, and the pre-drilled holes have never been used -so they’re not stripped. We just sat it against the wall behind the platform bed frame for the short amount of time that it was used.
