Our small company is looking for a smart, tech-savvy, email marketing guru to manage our weekly newsletters. This is a remote, part-time role to start, with a real path to full-time work as you prove your skills and a willingness to help in other areas.
What You'd Be Doing:
Your main focus would be on all things related to our email newsletters and other email marketing campaigns we may run. This includes:
Building and scheduling our three weekly newsletters.
Monitoring open/click rates and other metrics to understand our subscribers better.
Maintaining, optimizing and/or A/B testing website pop-up forms.
Maintaining, optimizing and/or A/B testing email automations.
Monitoring our email deliverability.
Helping with ideas or ways to increase subscribers.
Designing/building new email designs/templates when necessary.
Managing our contacts, groups, lists, and segments.
Attention to detail is a must. The newsletters must be pixel-perfect, responsive, and free of errors. We have templates and content reviews in place, but we want someone who will catch the things others miss. We send our newsletters using MailerLite and MailChimp.
Potential Secondary Tasks As Time Permits:
Helping to update and improve our Wordpress websites.
Improving our website SEO by fixing broken links and other technical SEO issues.
Analyzing website analytics and sharing insights.
Light video editing
What We're Looking For:
Ability to demonstrate real-world email marketing experience-- you can point to email campaigns you’ve designed and their results.
Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms such as MailerLite, MailChimp, or similar.
The ability to analyze data and provide insights and actionable suggestions for improvement.
Familiarity with Wordpress websites and knowledge of SEO basics.
A strong attention to detail.
Ability to hit deadlines, while being flexible when things don’t go as planned.
Organized and self-directed-- this is remote and part-time, so you manage your own time, and we judge results.
Clear communicator who can explain what you're doing and why.
Comfortable with (or quick to learn) financial, legal, and business subject matter.
Video editing skills are a BIG PLUS.
Logistics:
Fully remote position. Must have access to a computer and reliable internet.
Starting at 5-10 hours per week, with potential to increase hours quickly.
How to Apply:
Please send your résumé or portfolio link and a short cover email telling us (1) an email marketing campaign, newsletter, or website you've meaningfully improved and what you specifically did, (2) why you’d like to be part of our team, and (3) the relevant skills you bring to the table. FYI, generic copy-paste applications will not be considered.
