A news organization is looking for a reliable local freelancer in the Bloomington-Normal area for a recurring assignment running through ~mid-October. Once a week, you would observe and photograph activity at a large local manufacturing facility from public roads and other lawful vantage points.
Each visit is a paired same-day observation: once around midday and once overnight (approximately 2-3 a.m.), documenting parking-lot fill, shift-change traffic, and finished-vehicle and rail activity. Deliverables are timestamped photos/video at original resolution plus a short written log of what you observed and rough counts.
Requirements: reliable transportation, a camera capable of clear photos and video from a distance, and availability for both a midday and an overnight window on the same day, about once a week. Comfort doing occasional brief, on-the-record interviews is a plus (higher pay).
Rules are simple and strict: public property only -- no trespassing, no entering the facility's grounds -- and you identify yourself truthfully if asked. This is straightforward observational work.
