Best In Tents Is Hiring — Festival Camp Setup & Teardown Crew at The Gorge Amphitheater
Location: The Gorge Amphitheater, George, WA
Pay: $20/hr | $25+/hr for crew leads
Type: Event-based / Seasonal (with year-round potential)
Category: Hospitality
---
Love live music? Love the outdoors? Want to get paid to be at the best shows at The Gorge this summer and fall — and then actually stay for the show?
Best In Tents is a festival camping and accommodations company, and we're hiring crew members to help build and break down premium camping setups at The Gorge Amphitheater for the 2026 season.
Our guests book their camping accommodations through Airbnb and arrive expecting a hospitality-level experience — a clean, organized, ready-to-go campsite with a friendly face to greet them. That means this isn't just a labor gig. It's a hospitality role. All new crew members go through a orientation covering our setup standards, guest check-in process, and the level of service our customers expect.
WHAT YOU GET
- $20/hour starting pay
- $25+/hour if you step up as a crew lead
- Free tickets to the shows you're working
- Your own premium camp setup while you're on site — a perk worth over $1,000
- A front-row seat to the best venue in the country
- A real path to more events, more hours, and more pay if you show up and show out
- Paid orientation before your first event
2026 GORGE EVENT SCHEDULE
- Chris Stapleton: Tuesday, July 22 – Sunday, July 26
- Bass Canyon: Tuesday, August 11 – Monday, August 17
- Dave Matthews Band: Wednesday, September 2 – Monday, September 7
- Above & Beyond, Group Therapy: Wednesday, September 9 – Monday, September 14
- Jack Johnson: Thursday, September 24 – Sunday, September 27
- John Summit, Experts Only: Thursday, October 1 – Monday, October 5
More events = more hours = more money. The more dates you can commit to, the better your chances of staying on the crew and moving up.
WHAT YOU'D BE DOING
- Setting up and tearing down premium camping accommodations — tents, cots, lighting, power stations, shade structures, and more
- Greeting guests at check-in, walking them to their site, and making sure they feel welcome
- Keeping the campsite organized and running smoothly throughout the event
- Troubleshooting guest needs on site — think concierge, not just labor
- Breaking everything down after the event and packing it out
This is hands-on, physical, rewarding work — part hospitality, part operations, all festival energy.
ORIENTATION AND TRAINING
Every new crew member goes through a paid orientation before their first event. You'll learn:
- How our camping setups are built and broken down
- Guest check-in procedures (our guests book through Airbnb and expect a hospitality experience)
- How to handle common guest questions and on-site troubleshooting
- Setup standards and quality expectations
- Safety and site logistics
You don't need prior experience — just a willingness to learn, work hard, and treat guests like you'd want to be treated.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Can lift 50+ lbs and stay on your feet most of the day
- Reliable and committed — you show up when you say you will
- Loves live music and the festival community
- Has a knack for hospitality — you like making people's day better
- Doesn't mind hard work — camp builds are physical but straightforward
- Lives near The Gorge or has reliable transportation to get there for multiple events
- Team player — you work well with others and keep the energy up
Bonus points if you:
- Can commit to multiple events (more dates = more opportunity)
- Have experience with camping, event setup, hospitality, or physical labor
- Want to grow into a crew lead role — leading others in building camps, managing setup timelines, and being the go-to person on site
HOW TO MOVE UP
Show up. Work hard. Be someone the crew can count on.
Crew members who prove they can lead others, handle logistics, and commit to more events move into lead roles at $25+/hour. As we grow, there is real potential for this to become a year-round position for those who show outstanding promise and value.
HOW TO APPLY
Application Deadline: Sunday, July 19
Send a message with:
1. Your name
2. Where you're located
3. Which events you can make it to

If we like your reply and think you'd be a great fit, we will reach out to schedule a video interview.
