These earrings feature 3.00 carats total weight of genuine laboratory-grown diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds—they are chemically, physically, optically, and crystallographically identical to earth-mined diamonds. Both are composed of pure crystallized carbon (C) in the diamond crystal structure and have the same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale), brilliance, fire, scintillation, refractive index, thermal conductivity, and durability.
The only difference is their origin:
Natural diamonds formed deep within the Earth over billions of years under intense heat and pressure.
Lab-grown diamonds are grown in controlled laboratory environments using advanced HPHT (High Pressure High Temperature) or CVD (Chemical Vapor Deposition) technology, recreating the same conditions that produce natural diamond crystal.
Because they are the same material, standard diamond testers identify both as diamonds.
Even experienced jewelers cannot reliably distinguish a lab-grown diamond from a natural diamond by visual inspection alone. Identification generally requires specialized laboratory instrumentation that analyzes growth patterns and trace characteristics. Major gemological laboratories such as GIA (Gemological Institute of America) and IGI (International Gemological Institute) use sophisticated equipment to determine whether a diamond is laboratory-grown or earth-mined and issue grading reports accordingly.
