Rustic and eclectic small rectangular wooden antique chest with brass clasp lock/hook latch and decorated with dark stained bamboo veneer at the exterior of the chest (except the back). It has a minimalist design featuring clean lines with smooth surfaces on the wood body, accented only by the brass hardware and the natural bamboo veneer pattern for a Japandi or Asian vintage flair.

The interior of the chest with thick walls is all rustic wood with 2 nailed satin ribbons acting as hinges to hold the lid standing in place. This combination of materials and functional, clean design that blends functional, natural elements with refined, old-world hardware evoke a bygone era "treasure chest" feel. Indeed, this antique chest can be a storage chest for small collectibles, treasured trinkets/toys with sentimental value, silk scarves, watches and/or as a large jewelry box. Really anything that may fit in as it is a cool standalone decorative piece on its own.

Approximate measurements are 14.75"W x 5.5"L x 5.5"H. Not too small but a good size for small items and the chest is lightweight. Its provenance is unknown. A wonderful piece for a collector as well.

This chest is in good antique, pre-owned condition. The wood and bamboo veneer are showning some patina and rough edges through the age but not worn with some visible scuffs, nicks, scratches and small cracks at the interior wood. Some of the decorative threads around the bamboo veneer have also started to show some wear but do not affect the integrity of the veneer. Satin ribbons have some discoloration to them due to age. All flaws only add to its antique charm and slight distressed rustic look. Chest has been wiped down clean.
