Join us for an evening of food, culture, music, and community as we celebrate Welcoming Week through the universal language of food and dance. Global Flavors, Local Connection is designed to bring people together across cultures, backgrounds, and experiences by sharing dishes, traditions, and stories from around the world.
Guests will sample a variety of international cuisines from local restaurants while learning about the cultures and histories behind the foods. The evening will feature live cultural entertainment and opportunities to connect with neighbors, culminating in a community Contra Dance where everyone is invited to participate—regardless of experience.
This event reflects the Welcoming Week theme, Stories We Share: The Courage to Connect, by creating meaningful opportunities for relationship-building, cultural exchange, and community belonging. Together, we'll celebrate the richness of our community and discover how sharing food and traditions can help build bridges and foster understanding.
Ticket price includes admission to the Community Contra Dance immediately following the tasting event. Every ticket purchased helps support YMCA initiatives that connect people, strengthen families, provide youth programs, combat food insecurity, and create a more welcoming community for all.
