THE JOB
Tri-Star Engineering seeks a dedicated Manufacturing Development Machinist committed to building a career in precision manufacturing. This position offers extensive training in the operation of both manual and CNC equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, and brazing equipment.
TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT
- On-the-job training program in manual machining fundamentals
- Progress to CNC programming and operation
- Learn from experienced machinists through hands-on mentoring
- Develop comprehensive skills in precision measurement and quality control
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Learn to operate various types of manual and CNC lathes, mills, grinders, and brazing equipment to produce special precision cutting tools
- Master the use of precision measuring devices to ensure material meets specifications
- Follow and maintain quality procedures to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and participate in regular cleaning procedures
- Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality

REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings, and follow instructions (preferred)
- Strong communication skills with co-workers and management
- Capable of working independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
- Perfect attendance mindset
- Must be able to commute to Elk Grove Village, IL 60007 (in-person position)
NICE TO HAVE (not required)
- 1 year experience on CNC lathe, CNC mill, EDM, or grinding
