Hello,

One of my classes this summer has a small research component. I'm coming up on the deadline and don't have enough responses to finish the project!

The TOTALLY ANONYMOUS survey has a maximum of 18 very easy questions. It only takes a moment to fill out. PLEASE consider helping me by filling it out at:

http://www.centerforintent.org/survey2.html
…and passing it along to others you know! Thanks!

Best Wishes,

I'm presently conducting a specific study bringing together the Enneagram and graphology, and for that purpose I'm looking for volunteers who would feed me data for this project.
It would be nicer if you’d be interested in the concept of the Enneagram, though I'm not asking you to know your Enneatype (it'd just help me if you do).

My objective here is to find people willing to handwrite a short paragraph and to further it to me for analysis, with guarantee of anonymity of course. As you can understand, I'm developing a concept to help Enneatype identification based on handwriting.

If you feel like participating, I'll e-mail you more details about how to complete your part.

Tomorrow (Sunday) is San Francisco's Aids walk. You still have an opportunity to donate or join. I am super excited to be part of this cause & we have a great team involved!

Until there is a cure, every dollar counts to make an impact in the lives of women, children and men equally affected by HIV and AIDS. Will you please sponsor me for the AIDS Walk? Donating can be as little as the cost of a cup of coffee, tea or a fruit smoothie.

Just click on the website address below to enter my personalized web page and charge your donation. Thank you, in advance, for supporting this important cause and for showing that you join me in wanting to end this epidemic.
Cheers to a wonderful life! :)

Hi,

We need someone to secure some book shelves for our non profit DisabledCommunity.Org.

DisabledCommunity.Org (DCO) is a clearinghouse of disability
resources and information designed to help improve the quality
of life for people with disabilities, their friends, caregivers
and social service agencies.

As our fund raising vehicle, we sell donated books online at
Amazon and we have recently had a donation of metal library
book shelves.

While, I know my way around a drill and I have a drill that I think
would work for this project, I am concerned about doing this project
myself, due to a bad back (8 foot shelves) and because I am not quite
sure beyond securing the shelves to the wall at the top, how to secure
the shelves at the bottom.

If you have an hour or two and would be willing to help us out on this
project, we would be very thankful!

Lori B. Guidos
Executive Director

“I’m With the Band” is a program which is working with the kids between the ages of 6-17 in the San Francisco, Alameda and Contra Costa counties where music education & after school programs have been dramatically cut or eliminated all together. “I’m With the Band” will help kids to create play and record their own music in a band environment- The simple fact is that children that have music in their lives have increased self-esteem; the acquisition of business skills; and the development of much needed creative thinking, problem solving and communications skills. Best of all it can provide them with a healthy alternative to being out on the streets! You can read more about our program at www.myspace.com/iwtbca

By giving children access to instruments, and recording tools necessary to practice and succeed. By helping children play in a band & record music they learn about teamwork, how to set goals, and build a lifelong appreciation of the arts. Kids that do not have “performance aspirations” can work with behind the scenes tools to learn recording skills & record the songs of the performers. Located in Berkeley California centrally located in Alameda county; I’m with the Band will provide a service benefiting all school age children unlike other independent bay area music programs I’m With the Band will have programs for the 6-12 age segment that is often missed in other programs. Additionally many programs often leave behind the children who love music however don’t choose to play instruments- I’m With the Band will help these kids learn to use recording tools like Apple Computers Garageband, and ultimately record in a professional quality studio space. There is no other program like this in Northern California.

I am posting this add due to a message i received this morning. I also received this message about a year ago and didn't know what to do so i did nothing. Today i attempt SOMETHING.

I was told that i am a messenger, and i would carry this message through out the world. When i was first told this from a profit i had several feelings. First of all i was a little sceptical, then i felt like i was someone real special (that didn't last very long.) Then i felt very unworthy. I went home that night feeling very small. I prayed once i got home and asked God why me? I explained to him why i felt unworthy....."I'm a sinner". His reply was "thats why". He also explained it was all part of the covenant, because of the places i have been, and from what i have been delivered, and the things i continue to suffer from, people will listen. He said now is the time for praise, we need to lift up praise, we need to tell what he has done and what he can do. We need to let people know that he loves you!!!! in spite of you!!!!

There is so much more i can say but not here. I am placing this add because i was told to record the message and send the CD's to churches and different organizations in the Bay Area and he would do the rest. I believe that he can make all things happen but sometimes he requires some things from us. That is my reason for placing this add. I need help in recording the CD.

If this Add touches you and/or if God has said you need to be a part of this (because i'm sure i'm not the only one who has been asked to be of service), please contact me.

May the Lord continue to keep and bless you.

McDonald Ranch is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that has been serving youth and animals in Sonoma County for 15 years.

We are ready to expand this wonderful opportunity. What has held us back is not having key positions filled on our board of directors. If you have a soft heart for animals, would like to help serve children, and have experience in accounting, finance, marketing or the legal field, please consider giving some of your time sitting on our board and helping us write our business plan.
We have a lot of willing hands and hearts at McDonald Ranch who have been searching for professionals willing to make some time available to move us to our next level. Until we can fill those positions, we are greatly limited in the number of children and animals we can serve.

About Africa Aid

Africa Aid provides the foundation for innovative partnerships and intimate community-based relationships between developing African communities and their more established American counterparts. To create a sustainable and mutually beneficial community partnership, Africa Aid characterizes the problems of an African community and then integrates foreign aid projects into American university curriculum, allowing university students and faculty experts to design solutions to extreme poverty. Africa Aid implements the resulting university designed solutions in Africa, working alongside African communities to establish basic levels of Education, Health, Water, and Economic Empowerment.

Education Docents Needed at Forest Home Farms

Make a difference for 3rd graders in the San Ramon Valley-
Volunteer at Forest Home Farms!

If you have an interest in local history, are a retired teacher, or love working with children, then we are looking for you! This fieldtrip program is great for retirees, stay-at-home moms, part-time workers, and those with extra free time who would like to be involved in the community! No experience necessary- we will train you!

Tours are held outdoors on our beautifully preserved historic farm site. There are four different areas for volunteers to choose from: Grandpa- leads tours and activities, Grandma- leads tours and activities, Garden- explains concepts of organic gardening and aids children in gardening chores, and Canning- presents a canning demonstration and leads activities (no previous gardening or canning experience required).

Volunteer Description: Docents lead hands-on activities that teach the agricultural history of the San Ramon Valley and Forest Home Farms. Kids get to take a step back in time and see what life was like “in the olden days”. It is a very rewarding experience to see how much the children enjoy learning and to be able to answer their questions. Parents and teachers in the San Ramon Valley rave about our program!

Requirements: Education docents need to attend a two-hour training session twice per year and volunteer at least two times per month during the school year (in 4 hour time slots for fieldtrips). Volunteers must be available on weekdays and be fingerprinted through the San Ramon Police Dept. Fieldtrips run Mon-Fri, 9am-12pm during the school year with a short break in winter. Fall fieldtrips for the 2008-2009 school year begin September 9.

For more information or to find out how you can volunteer, contact Stephanie Herscu at (925) 973-3283 or sherscu@sanramon.ca.gov. Forest Home Farms is located at 19953 San Ramon Valley Blvd. in San Ramon, just south of Pine Valley Road.

The City of San Ramon Parks and Community Services Department creates community through people, parks, and programs focusing on providing recreational experiences, promoting health and wellness, fostering human development, increasing cultural unity, strengthening community image and sense of place, supporting economic development, facilitating community problem solving, and strengthening safety and security. For more information please visit our website at www.sanramon.ca.gov or call 925.973.3200.

Female Executives Needed for Research Study

Colleagues:

My name is Lily Benavides, a fourth-year Doctoral Candidate in the School of Education at the University of San Francisco, in the Leadership Studies program. The focus of my dissertation is to investigate the efficacy of executive coaching, as a specific leadership development modality, on the organizational performance of female executives, to determine if the new knowledge, skills and abilities learned, lead to their further promotability.

As more women gain senior executive positions, the researcher is interested in understanding to what extent does participation in an executive coaching program impact specific business areas, leading to a significant increase on an organization’s performance; while at the same time, increase the effectiveness of a female executive’s individual performance, all of which may lead to more women in the executive suite.

Your participation is requested in the pilot administration of an original instrument designed for this research study, the Executive Coaching Effectiveness Survey. The primary purpose of this administration is to measure the content validity of the individual items; that is, that the items accurately represent the characteristics or attitudes it is intended to measure. Revisions to the survey will be based upon your feedback.

The criteria for participation is: 1) you are a female executive; 2) you have participated in executive coaching; and 3) you are interested in contributing to what is known about the executive development of female executives.

Please click on the link below to access the survey. It can be accessed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is expected that the survey should take no longer than 25 minutes to complete. Feel free to forward the link to your colleagues who match the criteria for inclusion in the study. The pilot study will be available until
Sunday, July 27 at 12:00 am.

This will be the 6th such event in Northern California, but this will be our first in San Jose, so we're pulling out the stops and using years of experience in other places to host our biggest and best yet. This event will be run under the umbrella of the Valley Medical Center Foundation of Silicon Valley, and they're bending over backwards to make this the best event yet.

During the last two years voluntary groups started renovation works in the precincts of the school. They relayed pebble, built banquettes of stone and started removing the old plaster from the surface.

In summer 2008, volunteers will continue this work in order to improve the old building, and they are also going to contribute in the restoration, renovation and conservation of traditional cobblestone pavements and terraces in different parts of the village.

Location: Amvrakia is a traditional, isolated village of Etoloakarnania, near the city of Thermo, a political and religious centre during antiquity. The city of Thermo is 60 km away from the city of Messologgi and Amvrakia is 46 km from Agrinio, another big city of the area. During the past few years, former inhabitants of the village, who have formed an association for its preservation, make strong efforts to find funds in order to save the old stone-made buildings, cobblestone pavements and squares. The small village has luxuriant vegetation, a beautiful waterfall where volunteers will have the chance to swim, an old watermill in the bed of river Gidomandritis and very hospitable
villagers who await joyfully each year the groups of volunteers.
