Craig's Here
by The Patriot Ledger

Someone from the South Shore is "looking for a nude friend." Another is looking to dog walk or pet sit in the Canton/Stoughton area. Others seek childcare in the Quincy area; Jewish friends on the South Shore; women for a drinking club and the list goes on. Craig's list, that is.

If you need a friend, date or job or just about anything under the sun. Just ask Craig.

Craigslist, (www.craigslist.org) started in 1995, is an online community classified listing service that started in San Francisco, but drummed up a big following in Boston when it got started here. It's grown to 23 cities - Chicago, Atlanta, Denver, Toronto, to name a few.

On the award-winning web site you can join discussion forums on art, music, cars, pets, or if you want - kink.

No matter how specific the need or obscure the fetish, chances are, there's someone out there to meet the demand. And Craigslist - a virtual supermarket of supply and demand - has become the destination point for millions to connect with each other.

If you're in a housing crunch, you can view temporary or subleting listings. And, if you hate your current digs, check out the house-swapping lists.

Need a ride to New York or D.C.? There's always someone from craigslist going that way. Just click on "rideshare."

Wanna salsa? You'll find classes close to home in the events listings. As well as information on self-defense classes and how to put your name on the guest list of some of the area's hottest clubs, like Pravda and La Boom.

Search Craigslist, keyword: South Shore, and you'll find a free yoga class in Dedham, free massages in Braintree and information about the Paragon Carousel in Hull.

There's also real estate and job postings, garage sales, tickets to concerts and sporting events.
